Tiffany Lamp

Today's drawing is of the lamp in my living room. I often refer to this as my Frankenstein lamp. When my wife and I were shopping for one we both liked, we came across two in the store that day. One lamp had a great faux-Tiffany shade, but we didn't really care for the base. Another lamp right next to it had a great base, but the shade left a little to be desired.

Inspiration struck, and I ended up taking them apart, right there in the store, and then I quickly swapped shades. Both lamps were made by the same manufacturer, so it was easy to unscrew the shade I liked and attach it to the base that I liked. And Voila! The perfect lamp. (Shhh,...don't tell anyone.)

As far as the drawing goes, I first drew it in lightly using a mechanical pencil, and then went over my finished lines with a Sharpie marker. I filled it in with a variety of coloured markers. I hope you like it!
